So made it to NYC yesterday.  Only one day here before we embark on the Queen Mary 2 for our Canadian adventure.

Got in about 2:30 and had lunch at the Shake Shack by Central Park – a great burger and fries.  Last night we went to the Met to see Norma.  My first time to see a Met production.  Sondra Radvanovsky was great as Norma, but the opera itself really wasn’t one of my favourites.

After the opera, we hoofed it to dinner at Dopo Teatro Trattoria near Times Square.  Great italian food – papparadelle with short ribs (remember, I’m a short rib fiend) and cannolli.  We had the house wine, so I’m not sure what they were, but nice pairings.

I guess my next posts will be when we get back from the cruise and I can get to the Internet again.
